okay,
i just bought 2 kicker l7's dual 4ohm. they didn't have the 2 ohm at any of the stores(i was pissed).
now, my options are limited.
i can either:
1. wire the vc's in parallel and then the 2 in series. (4ohms)
2. wire the vc's in series and then the 2 in parallel. (4 ohms)
3. wire the vc's in parallel and the the 2 in parallel. (2 ohms)
4. wire the vc's in series and then the 2 in series. (16 ohms)

i'm thinking the 4 ohm load is good but which setup is best option 1 or 2?

also, for the box building pro's, the specs call for a 2.5 cubic ft chaber for each. does anyone have any suggestions (dimensions) to fit the 2 subs in a the trunk in a slotted box?

thanx.

My question to you first is
--->What type of amp will you be using.
--->Is it 2 ohm stable
--->What type of bass are you looking for (loud or clean)

I think the main thing though is to figure out what type of amp you will be using and then it will be kind of easier to make a choice on set-up

Good Luck

i have an alpine 1507 amp. i'm pretty sure it'll handle the 2 ohm load but most likely i'll be using 4ohms. the quwtion then will be which wiring option (1 or 2 ) should i use.
as for bass, i'd like to have the loud street thumping bass but i dont' know if i could fit a slotted box with the requirements Kicker says. (2.5 ft3 per sub) my question there is does anyone have dimensions on a slotted box for 2 subs that'll fit the trunk.
