Just curious about this, actually it was my uncle who asked me. He has a 1987 Ford Mustang GT Convertible, Automatic.
The convertible is heavier than the Hatchback or Coupe (Mustangs in that Gen), @ 3329lbs. V-8 225HP (lots of torque, 300lbs @3000RPM I think). 4spd Auto, Overdrive.
According to him, it doesn't have much pickup after 70MPH, due to the auto tranny. The Legend on the other hand has a lot of pickup still after that range.
Let's say 0-60 and 1/4 wise however. What would be faster? Would it at least be close?
87 Mustang GT Convertible Auto or
TypeII Legend Auto
Obviously as well, the Legend is a luxury car and not made for all out sport, this is a pure #s thing.
