i am gearing towards some excel wheels but the guys measured the offset from the rotors out and he said it was 5". does that equals to +50 offset? if so that would be perfect for a legend. btw, the rims are Excel, anyone heard of it?

5"= he's probably refering to "Back Spacing" and when you speak of Back spacing you have to know exactly how wide the wheel is...
you can determine the offset using back spacing as a guide
Por ejemplo:
a 10" wide wheel with a 7" back spacing would be equivalent to a 2" offset since the back spacing is the point of the outer most edge of the inner rim to the mounting surface...
that 2" offset can be converted into mm by a simple calculation to equal a 51mm offset on a 10" wheel...
Backspacing of 5" on 7" width will mean that the mounting face is 1.5" away from the centerline towards the outside of the car. +1.5" =~ +38 offset (IINM)
