A question for the Legend Experts - Is the tranny from a 1989 Legend L Sedan compatible with the tranny in a 1990?

I have a 1990 L Sedan with a bad tranny and may have found a tranny in an 89 Legend L Sedan for very cheap. Gotta decide whether it is worth it to try a tranny transplant.

So does that mean that the 90 Legend will only except trannys from the 1990 model?? that sucks because I also have a 90. Does the trim make a difference..L/LS, 2dr/4dr?

I'm pretty sure it's been discussed.....'90 Coupe to Coupe....'90 Sedan to Sedan.....trim would not make a difference.
