since the car has been purchased brand new in 1997, the car has always been run with 87 octane....with 176,000 miles on it, i really dont think its gonna mess anything up
optimum performance on premium. but you can run whatever level you want. you can definitely tell a difference in your MPG if you go with regular though. Regular will have your MPG, your acceleration, and transient throttle response in the garbage.
well todai i used 89 and like i started driving
and somtimes when im at a stop sign it kinda stalls it doesnt wanna go i have to press the gass pedal harder
plus the car runs like shit. when i put 87 in when the car only ran on 93 it shook at like 90mph for some reason. i put in 93 from then on it never happened again.
We should use the recommended fuel, but I have experimented with both 87 and 91 for long periods of time each and have found not a single difference. NO MPG difference and NO power difference. It's all mental. I know I sound hypocritical but I still think a few dollars here and here is not going to kill us if we use the recommend 91 octane.
well todai i put in 93 again and i had no problems
no stalling or anything i gues i will stick to 93 i rather spend that extra 20 or 30 cent now rather than paying couple of hundred dollars later to fix a problem you feel me
