On my 92 Legend, the clutch pedal dropped to the floor, with no prior warning. A few facts:

-181k miles.
-Previous rattling noise in neutral, stopped when depressed.
-No obvious fluid leaks.
-Clutch has not been slipping.

Dealer says: install rebuild kit ($750).

Any other suggestions to dianose the problem?

I have 106K on my 92 5-spd. Mine also makes a rattling noise on the drivers side when the clutch is out and the car is not moving. I am still trying to get this fixed. In my past manual transmission experience I have had a situation where my clutch pedal went straight to to the floor one morning. I had to us all my bady weight to get it in gear. I managed to drive it to the dealer, they had to push it to the bay. All it turned out to be was a broken vacume hose. That car had 198K, it was a 1996 Maxima SE. I am not saying this is what your problem is, but just something to look at. If you can I would try to get it to an experienced Acura/Honda transmission shop and get another opinion. Good Luck!
