Thought I'd post a picture of my 92 Legend LS CPe. Well, actually not mine. I bought it for my daughter. Going through some teething problems. First experience with an AL block engine. Can you say new oil pan because the oil plug was stripped. Working on a Bose HU and some A/C gremlins too. I can't believe that my daughter (college freshman) is not happy

. She wants a Honda Accord EX 4dr. Well, ok. My son's a high school sophmore who will be getting his license this summer and he absolutely LOVES the Acura.

Sorry, auto. My 97 Max SE is the 5spd and I'm keeping that one

Pretty car, nice paint. Interior is in pretty good shape. 130K. Engine runs strong. As to how much....i'd be embarrased to say...too much. But needed a car for the daughter "right now" and all the other's we looked at (mostly Honda Accords) were overpriced or had issues. One Accord was being sold by the "Russian Mafia". Some kid north of Atlanta. It was all suspicious...the kid had it registered in KY because it was "cheaper", was living and going to school in Atlanta. Lived in a HUGE house with the folks. Pretty funny when we went out for a test ride and he got a call on his cell phone from his dad. They were speaking Russian. Right after he finished I asked him a question in Russian. His jaw dropped to the floor

. What a hoot! Needless to say we moved on. Found this one down in Jacksonville, FL. It was a 2 owner car. Has some rock chips on the hood but other than that everything was pretty nice. Found out later that who ever had changed the oil last had stripped the oil pan bolt. THEN I found out about aluminum block engines. Couldn't find anyone to drill it out and rethread so it was off to the dealer. My wallet was considerably lighter after that. Still working on issues but I like the car and it will be reliable and safe for daughter/son. Cheers

I was actually thinking of some TL wheels. Not the current model but the previous. Then again, think the mods and the $ (H&R's, Tokico Illumina's, and 18" EVO S with new rubber) will be going on my Max. Cheers

No, I don't have a MAX but I might be adding a GTO to the family. Like you, the Legend is for your daughter.......well....my coupe will go to my son.....but not for a year or two. He's 15 now so as long as he continues to do good in school, this might be his first car. As for the GTO, I've been yearning for some good ol V8, RWD, 6 speed fun, that can still fit 4.

Not sure yet, something else might come along.

That's a beautiful coupe -- it looks mint from the pictures. That green's one of my favorite colors on the Legend (when kept clean). Looks like you've got it detailed to the hilt. Nice work. Like you said, some '03 TL wheels would really set it off. Sounds like daughter doesn't know what she's got! I would have been thrilled with a Legend coupe as a freshman in college.

Really nice ride! My wife drives a Volvo XC70 and thinks I am part of a cult (Acura Legends.) One of our sons got his Jetta rear-ended/totaled and I offered my 92 LS coupe until he gets a replacement. "Wow, can't I just use this one?" It must be the
testosterone factor. One has to appreciate torque, metal, seams, width, contours...;
hm, maybe my wife is right.

My son likes to clean it up when his sister comes home from college for a weekend or such. Gosh, I don't know if she knows how lucky she is that when she comes home her brother washes her car! Geeeez. As to detailing, wash and wax and tire shine is about it. Think that my son might clay bar it sometime soon though. He did my Max and it came out GREAT! Highly recommend the clay bar treatment. AND if you can get your son to do it it's even better

Oh well, son will get the car sometime this summer when we find a 98 Accord EX 4dr for my daughter. Figure he'll drive the Cpe for 6 months and then he's been eyeing my 97 Max SE 5spd. We shall see. GTO, YEAH BABY! I like the new Mustang GT, 27K for some serious power. Pretty nice. BUT I really like the GTO. Great power and the interior is much nicer than the Mustang, IMHO. Plus, I like the body. The big knock on the GTO is the "bland", jelly bean styling. Hey, I'm a "Q-ship" guy and I like the body. Think that you could get a great price on the GTO now. Red Tag sale at the Pontiac dealer plus I don't think they've been selling that well. 3K gas guzzler tax, YIKES.

03 Murano eh. Have you gone through the alternator recall? Got the warning signs of impending failure from the Murano forum and caught "it" right before it died. Dealer replaced it. This was at 15K, Scoot has 30K now and Nissan is actually doing a recall. Have to take it in to the dealer to see if they replaced the bad alternator with the "r" part, if not they'll put another new one on it. Nissan seems to have bad luck with alternators. After I bought my 97 Max (used) I found that there was a recall on it's alternator. Dealer replaced it gratis and this was after the car was 3 yrs old. Good luck with the GTO, think you'd be happy. Yeah, I'm afraid that I'm in the "Acura Cult" too. I love the old Legends (91 to 95), especially the 4drs. If I had my "druthers" I'd have a 05' TL 6spd or '05 RL. Maybe later. I'd be remiss if I didn't say that I was in the Nissan Maxima Cult too. My wife actually likes the Legend. Heated seats maybe? Or just low slung and sexy???? BUT she really likes her 03 Murano. Think it's the high seating position or maybe the CVT??? Women/wifes/daughters, who knows????? Cheers

lol same here, the gf loves her g35 as she should but absolutely hates my coupe. I tell her its the g35 of the 90's but she just looks at me like im crazy? Am I?
