Seller (rasmaxwell) was asking 18,900 for his super rare low miles in prestine condition coupe. The car was originally from California. He sent me some of his coupe's pictures so I'd like to post them up for everyone can view easily. The car's worth every penny, gl with the sale Rick. I wish I had that much savings in the past ... Someone on here will consider it through.

Not for $18,900 in today's economic climate, I wouldn't. Nothing particularly rare about this car except the mileage. Not Pearl White, no fogs, no spoiler and with a Type F interior. Now, if it was GBP/Black, Milano Red/Black, Cayman White Pearl/Black or even Desert Mist with those miles, you'd really have something. To me, MarkD set the bar with his GBP '95 and $16,500-17K cash is the max I'd give for this car & that's really pushing it.

Like I've said before, there is such a thing as too FEW miles and I think this car is a perfect example. If someone wants to buy & store it with the intent of selling it at auction in several years, this is that car but if you want a daily driver, it's not. Too many questions about seals, gaskets & hoses for a car that sat in a warehouse for 10 years for me. Give me one that's been well-driven (40-75K miles) and well-maintained anyday.

At the end of the day, it's an almost 15 year old car with 17K miles that runs premium gas @ $4.30/gal and gets 18 miles a gallon. I love mine but it's been reduced to weekend status for that reason. Nobody but a Legend fanatic is going to pay anywhere close to top dollar for that car, not when dealers are refusing to take SUVs, trucks and other gas-guzzlers in on trade.

18 mpg. Is that driving like you stole it?

I get 29 mpg in my 6 speed type 1 with headers, pulleys, cai, vs, ground kit, tbb, 5 speed flywheel&clutch, an lsd and 100 lbs of weight reduction.

Hell, with 3 friends in the car and all of our snowboarding gear I got 27 mpg.

On one tank I drove from southern nh up to the canadian border (6 miles away actually) and back to Haverhill Mass on one full tank. Yup that's right, 1 tank fella's and the gas light didn't go on untill I drove over the Mass border.

Thanks StevieRay for the comment- I think :) (I was not sure if you meant set the bar- as in too high)
Your Id always makes me think of Stevie Ray Vaughan- one of my favorite guitar players. Anyways, nice car for sure. I would agree on the pearl white, it is really a great look over regular white. I would also agree on the too low mileage thing, but it depends I think. The black coupe I picked up earlier this year with 29k seems fine so far as hoses, etc and even the tires are fine, although I will probably swap them out in a year or two. I have had it on a few decent hwy runs and all was ok. As long as the car gets some use every couple of weeks, they seem to do ok. Sitting for more than a month at a time I think is where it can cause problems. My accord saw limited use for about 7-8 years (about 1500-2k a year) and it was fine. But, I would take it out for at least some use every couple of weeks and then some runs on the hwy for an hr or two every so often.

I don't think its that surprising. I was averaging 21-22mpg with 50/50 driving. 24-25mpg strictly highway, on a Type I auto. This was all on Florida flat roads, highway driving at around 80mph. From what I've seen, I only get about 1mpg better driving at 55-60mph.

I must agree with my man Steive Ray as well ... it one thing to have a low mileage legend that is bare bones 6 speed .... it's a totally different thing to have a pearl white with fogs / spoiler / cd changer / black leather ... then pretty much you ask what you want and go from there from a pricing perspective ... but white ... bare bones 6 speed for $18/k plus ... not happening. I feel it's a $16.5 - $17/k totally max vehicle at best ... even that's a little fat. But, who am I ... I have only owned 9 legend coupes. Good luck with the sale ... however, think he needs to be much more realistic with the price ... it is a solid car!

Seems fair to me. I would take it over a new Civic any day at the same price.

I paid $10K and put $2K more into a low mile 93 LS SC AT a coupe of years ago and am going to run her into the ground as a DD. It gets a lot a complements still.

nice car i agree with other posts about pearl white missing options etc
but if right buyer comes along will sell
im surprised it sold for that much at the auction
that means something...
but again at that time 6k miles is collector edition
oh yah i also have gotten at least 27mpg hwy driving down 5 freeway with a 6spd coupe
i dont actually measure it but if you want to drove 460 miles one tank still had gas
intake and exhaust
