so, I haven't been on here since I totaled my 94 coupe. and I ran across a guy with a 95 ls 6spd coupe with just under 200k.
the bad: it needs new leather and possibly new carpet, it has a both the tcs and the srs lights on, the drivers window comes off track (slightly) when rolling it up. needs a new antenna, has a crack in the dash and has a few small rust spots on the fenders and door (the passenger door doesn't open from the inside). the guy said he replaced the compressor but didn't connect it so it has no a/c.

what would be a fair asking price? thanks

sounds like a lot of work and TLC... The question is not what he wants for it, it's what it's worth to you..
Have him throw out the first number. He is the one selling the car, not you.
not really sure how interested he is in selling it, its his lil beat around town car (I'm the one who approached him).
his comment was "everything has a price"
he said he would like to get 1800.
think that's a reasonable price for the work, or should I try to talk him down?
I will throw it out there and see if he bites, thanks
If you have to throw gobs of money at any car, you simply have to "make" your money on the front-end. If he is tired of the car and knows it needs plenty of money thrown at it, $1,000 might just wet his whistle enough for him to take your cash and sign over the title.

Cash is king.

Now where is your picture of hand to hand exchanging of wads of cash Kevin? :p I bet you though I didn't lurk around here from time to time now did you??!! :poke:
