You need to access the self-diagnostic and it will tell you exactly what is wrong. I don't have my HELM beside me, but there are at least 12 different reasons a code could be triggered and the warning lamp activated. I disagree with the others. A more common problem is a faulty pressure switch or a Code 1-8. You can either "tap" the computer yourself, or take it into Acura for an ALB (or ABS) test which will take less than 1 hr and will pinpoint the problem. You can then elect to DIY or have an independent perform the repair if it does turn out to a wheel sensor.

You can also do this: In the underhood fuse/relay box there is a row of 15 amp (blue) fuses. Remove them all for about 15 seconds. This will clear the code and reset the ALB system. Maybe you just have a glitch. Also make sure that your parking brake is fully disengaged as this will also trigger an ABS fault.

You are correct, PB. Forgot about the pressure switch. How have you been? Move to Newfoundland yet?
We are all fine. Just breathed new life into my wife's 87 Maxima which has cancer (repaired the rust-out). Going for the 20 (years that is). Darn Asian cars... after year 10 you have to start spending for repairs. Plan is to move to Prince Edward Island (in the neighborhood of Newfoundland). Exchange rate has and is continuing to tank, so the building funds don't go as far.

thanks for all your replies. i disconnected the negative battery for 10 seconds...warning light is now unlit.
And now, the question of the moment....do you know your radio code? Next time just remove/install the 3 15 amp fuses.

stevieray: Remove the trunk side trim to determine if you have access to the inner wheelhouse where it connects to the quarter. It has been yrs since I have had mine off and I forget. You need to spray the heck out of that repaired area with inner panel undercoating (not the rubberized black). Should assist in making the repair last longer. If the access is limited, I would pay an autobody repair shop to use a long wand and undercoat both inner quarters with the inner panel undercoating.
