Alright Guys and girls, here's the scoop. I have decided to do the 90-91 accord headlight conversion. I spent a lot of time researching different kinds of aftermarked and OEM lights for that Accord and I came up with these. They are 2 piece OEM style Euro lights. I have a 90 Coupe and think this is quite possible. Next, if there are space issues then they will be dealt with accordingly, AKA fiberglass and new paint. Heres a pic of the lights I bought.

Let me know what you all think. Oh and I want to try and reuse the stock corner lenses, maybe make some custom lenses for them.

I know, I saw it and read all of it (unless there are new posts). I just want to use the center section of the lights, not the corners. If it doesn't work oh well, I bought the lights really cheap. I know someone who also paints cars for a living, it's his own buisness too. We CAN make them fit and sit flush without looking Half-Azzed (don't know if they cencor words).
My parents have a friend with a 1990 Accord coupe, the car these lights were intended for. When I look at the center section of the lights (not the corners) they seem perfectly straight, not rounded. And HEY! if they don't fit like the OEM Legend lights (which I know they wont) oh well. It's all trial end error.
Oh and one more thing....let's be more positive,ok?

Is it possible to just take the insides of the Accord lights and put them into the Legend's lights? Seems like if oyu could do it this way you would retain the original shape with the new lights. Just a thought.

Sam was clearly helping you by showing what a person has previously tried. No need to make a smart comment back at him.
Did you want us to say, go for it bolt them they will look stupid and not fit properly but you might as well just stick them in because you got them cheap. Your my hero, nobody has thought of this before, hope yours magically bolt straight in. :nutkick:

In all seriousness though I do look forward to the end result, it should look good with the assistance of a body shop. :turban:

I don't see the purpose. The lights that you chose to replace the Leg lights look just about the same. They just have a clear lens. Waste of time if you ask me (no offense). I could understand better if you were doing the all clear 1-piece like the pic posted or maybe a black housing projector light or something. Anyway, good luck with it and post b4 and after pics when your done.

Yeah I know, sorry Sam. It was really late for me and it was a really long day. No I dident expect anyone to say that at all. I bought these lights for three reasons though; 1 being that my lights are completely screwed up. 2 is that these lights are a 2pc and i wanted to do just that, use the inside piece. 3 because it would update the look slightly and the use of HID's would be a lot easier, due mainly because the lights used in these are 6007 and 6006 (or is it 6006 and 6005).

Yeah, we could have tried that, but I didn't really want to. And the reason I choose these lights IS because they look like the legend lights just with a clear lense. Most of the accord projectors look rather, well....cheesy, no offense. They are too round, the lights look to busy, and I like the look af simple things also.

Lol no need to apologize dude no offense was taken....i was simply dropping you that thread so that you could see what a finished product MAY be...

and also in the future if someone searches for Accord Headlights (head lights) they will be able to find your thread and right away be able to link to that thread....

Ive seen this subject come up I dont know how many times and I have always directed people to that thread....then never hear anything about it ever again....I hope that you go all the way through with it man because I agree that the diamond cut look would be nice in addition to the HID options opened up to you!

Good Luck.....

anything over a stock headlight would be an improvement. these headlights suck! honda wasnt thinkin when they designed these lights. refraction on the lens and the prisim is horrible. no beam pattern what so ever. good luck with the install man and be sure to keep us updated and pics along the way will be greatly appreicated.

clean coupe, looks nice. would decide on the way your trying to go with it. are you trying to keep the luxury or go all handling and power?

kinda both. Ideas
-Custom seat brackets for Cobra seats
-4pt bolt in cage w/harness bar and door bar
-VIS custom carbon fiber doors
-Customized stock front bumper to keep true to the cars style
-Very subtle sideskirts, kinda like DC2 Type-R, reworked rear bumper
-Removal of all side, front and rear molding. Fill in the indent between the two tone and get it all repainted the original white
-black out the euro lights or have the stock ones customized
-and get new white on red tail lights
-Either new 18's or 19's in either bronze or gunmetal from a reputable company. Falken, Volk/Rays, 5Zigen, SSR, whatever.
-And whatever else we decide to do.

Our goal is to pay tribute to all Honda's racing history with this car. Why? The name, it's Honda's Legend, get it? Honda's racing colors are White (Champoinship White more specifically) and red, oh and i think black. We really want a Legend to get in a magazine, Honda Tuning is our goal. They mostly do more simple cars (i don't want this car over done or ugly mind you), and you never see these things in mags.
We want to do something around the lines of what the Legend would be if Honda made one with Type-R status.

Thanks. Oh I like your trunk, hint hint. No I'm not gay. What's on top of it, lol. Just kidding.

And yeah, every thread on the Accord lights are all the same... they're never finished. The one you dirrected me to was in '04!

I plan to go all the way D@mn it, and I'll go through the seven rings of Hell if you think I'm gonna let anyone stop me!

Yeah I got RHD but we don't have half the features you guys do.

Can't wait to see these Accord lights if they are actually going to be finished :giggle: .

There HERE!

The lights finally arrived today, well I sholdn't say finally, they got here at 12:30. Here's the news. Due in part to the shape of the lights, even the center section, there's a problem.... But it can and will be fixed. Since the outside of the center section of the light is slightly curved, even using the Legend corner marker wouldn't work right. So here's what we're going to do. Accord front end, 90-91 accord carbonfiber hood. Reason being is that if you put the accord bumber (aftermarket) on the legend, the legend lights stick out past the bumper (I believe). And the legend hood will clear the lights, but... We want a clean line all the way through. We're going to find a subtle, yet still better than stock, front bumper to liven up the front end and get rid of the stock bumbers overbite, lol.

Now we're not going to turn this into a "Ricer :vomit: Civic" but turn it into a mean street Legend. Now, on here I've seen the accord hood on our legends, and I don't mind the fact that the whole wiper blades will be visible, and we will be using hood pins, probab;y Sparco's (more reliable and cleaner looking). Now we will be getting the bumper soon, but the hood will be following later on. So please don't ignore this thread, or close it. We plan to take it to HIN this Sept. 30th in Seattle, so we plan to have the conversion done before then, so stay tuned. Thanks later.

You know something, I really like the work you've done so far. But sometimes too much is a bad thing. Try the old KISS principle, Keep it simple stupid.... it's a good saying and I'm not being derogatory ! There's got to be an easier way to put HID's on that car than to put Accord pieces on it and compromise the structure and look of the rest of the front end. Go back and take a look at the pics of the Legend's front end that you took. Doesn't it look great the way it is !!?? Figure out another way. That's my humble opinion. Keep up the good work !

Here's the deal though, if you noticed, when I say I'm doing things to this car, a lot of the time I don't use 'I'. It's mostly 'We', and that's because this car belongs to myself and my Dad. He wants the clear lense without going overboard, and we aren't using HID's with the stock lenses bucause if the light dispersal cuts (or whatever they are called) in them. I'd rather use aftermerket lights that are made for our cars, but the thing is.... aftermerket companies don't really give a shit about these cars.
We don't have the money, nor time to make custom headlights out of the stock units. And you can't tell by looking, but the stockers are f*ed up...bad. The alighment is horrible, the inside of the housing is damaged, and the inside of the lenses are completly hazed over. We're (there it is again) are only using an aftermarket front bumper made for the accord so the headlight fitment looks good while I am modifying the stock one. I don't, however, really like the lines of the accord lights. They are flat where as the legend lights are slanted. And to be honest with you guys, He's (my dad) is almost at the point of selling it and getting a...G2. Sorry, but when some people complain when you are modifying a car that doesn't have aftermarket, it makes us want to do it more. And besides, It's not like we're doing a Skyline headlight and taillight conversion or something, shit. We are TRYING to stay along the lines and look of this car. So please bear with me, ok?

We are going to keep it simple. we are not going to compromise the structure? Huh? Turning it into a convertable would compromise the structure. Some guy walks up and says, "Ya' know, them lights look nice and all, but they might cause you to die if you got in a wreck....."
I like the lines of the legend lights and bumper (for the most part)
And the only other way is for custom headlights. TOO SPENDY

oh and remember
