Ok I was told that I need to do a retrofit. Has anyone done this?

 

Lol whoever told you to do a retro fit is just being smart.. If you look down at your headlights from inside the engine bay your gonna see 2 different gears attached. Those are for adjusting with a philips screw driver. One aims up and down, the other aims left and right. Pull up on a **level** surface about 10 feet from a garage door or building, turn on your headlights and using a philips screw driver tune it yourself. VERY easy, just takes a little testing to get it where you like..

 

I'm having a same problem. I installed mine last week and they are all over the place. I can't get it aim straight

 

With a little patience and correct aiming it will work. Yes its true that the OEM housing is not the best to use for HID lights, but like I said - aim it low and point more towards the middle and you should be ok. I have had my HID in both of my 95 Coupe and Sedan for a year now and I have only been flash 2 times (both times I was going up a hill). So it is tolerable to oncoming driver if you aim it correctly.

 

haha with my HIDs i think i aimed them a bit to high i would get a few flicks of the highbeams from on coming traffic 5 or 6 times a week.... but I enjoy seeing the road and the signs light up neon!
