hey everyone,

ive got a 94 6sp legend and its about that time for a new clutch. i have no engine mods on this car. the only thing i have is a big brake kit upgrade but that has zero to do with this type of job.
ive noticed some aftermarket clutches around. heres my Q's.

what is the benefit, if any of an aftermarket clutch on a car of this type?

would a high performance clutch cause more wear on my transmission or linkage?

i appreciate the help.

btw, ive called exedy and centerforce and im just gettn a phone rep who doesnt know anything

A few months ago I had a spec stage 2 clutch put in my mechanic said it was a better fit and easier then the oem ones he has done for the 6 speed

But if i had it to do again i would get the 5 speed flywheel and a 5 speed clutch and have them put in
do you have a 5 speed or 6 speed tranny?

when you said "But if i had it to do again i would get the 5 speed flywheel and a 5 speed clutch and have them put in" did you mean if you'd do it again....get the oem 5 speed etc...
he has a 6spd seeing as the car is a '94. I would also recommend swapping over to a 5spd assembly as it saves on weight equaling better performance.
I know about using the 5-spd flywheel with the 6-spd but, you can use the 5-spd clutch assembly as well?
I would like to know the answer to the above question as well:)

you can use the 5-spd clutch assembly for the 6Speed 94' Acura Legend as well? wattt?

I am also in need of a new clutch.
Yes you can. You can use the 5-spd clutch kit for the 6-spd if you also get a 5-spd flywheel. It also gives you better performance.

Just got my SPEC Stage III 5-spd clutch kit in the mail yesterday :D :D

yes you can, all you need is a 5spd clutch ass., 5spd flywheel, 5spd flywheel bolts (as they are shorter) i have had mine in for over 25k miles and have seen no negative effects.
