Alarm QUestion

Ok another alarm question...

I looked under my steering wheel the other day and realized that my car has a aftermarket alarm (Alpine SEC8048) installed but has no unlock remotes. Earlier to remedy this problem I had the hood latch wired so the system wouldn't arm.

Now I was wondering if I could completely remove the aftermarket alarm and see if it clears up some weirdness with my locks. Basically I was wondering if removing the alarm could cause any problems like ignition lock out or anything that would hurt the car.
