the sony xplod cdx-m610..its the one with the active black panel. looks real nice in the store, anybody know how well it fits and hwo it looks in a legend and whether or not it compliments the dasH?

Any of the Xplod CD players are Sony's low model equipment. What you want is the Mobile ES equipment. Every car I've ever been in with an Xplod CD player sounded distorted and skipped a lot. JMHO.

well, sony's xplod line are not that much worse than any other brands comparable level cd players, but I personally cannot stand the red color. though this one doesnt realyl have much red

its wont be a bad cd player, but htere are others in my opinion that are better cd players for similar price, sure this thing looks cool but thats really about it...

I was referring to the speaker outputs, not preamp outputs. I"d go for a cheap Alpine or Eclipse, before I would buy an Sony Xplod CD player.

im not talkin about the gay xplod sony has made before with red color and crap..im talkin abut that new model the came out with that has the active-black panel and mechanically folds open to revel a silver and blue inteior panel..it looks so tight. btw, if i were to just buy the radio, would it work with the stock legend cd player?

that the only other cd player compatable with cd changer for legend is a alpine model, I would go with kenwood too, When I bought my previous car the owner had put a brand new kdc 70xx and it had a flip mask and it was aroud $400 at the time but when they discontinued the model I saw it for $300. In 3 years it never skipped once. And did not sound distorted at all, and had a credit card remote. I'm sure u could find a better kenwood now for $300. So much worth it over the years.

Sorry but sony and I are not friends everyone that I had broke on me, no I never dropped it either and they all were ES models stuff like the volume control acting stupid and some other buttons. I have a friend who had some of the same problems.

Sony Explode stuff sucks, end of story. The amps suck and blow easily, the decks suck, im not sure about the speakers. If your in to a deck for looks, by all means, buy it, but for sound... all those that bingo listed are great examples, I would also like to add my JVC KD-LX30 deck, I was skeptical because I had never bought JVC before , but it sounds GREAT and is easy to adjust the settings, and has 3 preouts. Go with Alpine or Kenwood is my suggestion.

I've had the sony cdx 620 in my g1 for about 10 months. I also got it b/c I liked how it looked but if I had to do it over again I would get something else. I like the sound of the headunit but the cd player skippes and doesn't load the songs fast when the car is cold. The cd player seems to skip more on home made cd.

No problem man. They are borbet type s 17inch- The only draw back is that the offset is tooo low (+35), which means they stick out. I just recently installed eibach's w/ kyb's and I'm going to remove the rears b/c i'm scrapeing like crazy. I've has them for 3 years now and have been very happy.
