Are you able to to install the LCD behind the silver reflective material where the mirror is still functional when the LCD is off and only shines through when activated? Similar to that aftermarket reverse camera and rear view mirror package that one company offers. I have the cameras and was using my CVA LCD screen for a while, but I like the mirror idea and would like the LCD screen to activate when put into reverse only, and at all other times the mirror looks and acts as normal. Since I would use it as a reverse monitor only, the slight loss of light wouldn't be a problem I think. Either way, your work looks good.

I've seen a couple guys put a remote display for a Valentine VI radar detector in their mirrors, very cool.
