For my so.cal legends, how many of you are interested in going to Area 51 Fabrications to get something trick made for your car? I haven't contacted them as of yet, but I plan on going there to have a CAI and strut bar made by them. I think if they see enough of a demand, they might make some parts for us on a production scale instead of on off peices. Let me know if interested. This is for both G1 (HS and KA) and G2 Legends.

Where are they located?

I'm interested in lower tie bars, and a rear strut bar if possible.

I can take my car to them for measurements if it's not too far from San Gabriel valley.

Rear Strut Bar? Will it help greatly in our cars? I know on Preludes, Civics and Integras, it doesn't help too much in the rear as much as it helps in the front. I suppose, it would help, if the majority of the weight was in the rear or there was a true 50/50 split including your weight in the front.

Lower Tie Bars? I've only heard of this being put in mostly 4-cyl based machines, most V-6s, I've never seen have an aftermarket tie-bar. Do they make'em for any other Inline-6 or V-6 vehicles?

Well, witht he rear strut bar, the Legend (I'm speaking mainly on a G1 basis), I think it will make the car much more tossable. What I mean by that is the way the suspension is beginning to stiffin up in the back, the back can follow and trail the front of the car better and acctyually, if you can the the rear of the car realy stiff, you can induce the car into a FF drift w/o e-brake application.

I don't think it'll hurt. Civics and Integras don't have a 50/50 distribution anyway.

Most things are made for 4 cylinder cars, just look at the header market. You can get 10 different types of headers for a B series engine. How many for a J series V6? One so far. But look at the gains with a Comptech V6 header over a 4 cylinder header. Anyway, my point is, that we don't know how much it'll help until it's done.

The only down side I see to a lower tie bar is decreased ground clearance.

I don't think they will give a quote until they see what they have to work with. I'll let you know. I'm gonna be calling them in like 5 min. I'll let you guys know what's up.

If they are looking for volunteers, just give a holler and ask for volunteers. If the vendor is honest and will work with us and give the rest of us a break on pricing, then I'd be willing to do, except, I'm in SoCal, not NoCal.

Ok, here's the deal. My contact is Sharon (sp?). I guess I was lucky and got her since she's in charge of what we need to get done. She said that Area 51 is very interested in working with Legends. More Legends we get, the cheaper per part per person it will be (simple economics). If we meet up on a weekend, she says that she won't fit us in for at least another 3 weeks (anyways, this isn't too much of a rush deal) because she's gonna be going to shows and races and etc. I don't have a quote per part (because they haven't seen what they have to work with yet, duh) but once they see what they have to work with, they can arrange something. I'll be looking to hear from you guys and and passing the info on to Sharon and vice versa. This is for both G1 and G2. This is primarly a so.cal thing. They are located in Irvine. So, that's the story for now

You've got 1 volunteer - me, for a G2 Coupe Type-II. Perhaps, Claus44 might be interested (send him a PM) for a G2 Sedan Type-I.

doh! Right when I said that, Claus44 already had a post up. Must've been reading my mind!

Hey c25a1guy, what's your first name? I don't want to go down there and address Sharon and say 'c25a1guy' sent me. Sound kinda funny!

Also, post it up on LegendaryLegendz.com, they've got a whole list of people that can be e-mailed through one e-mail address

MLS is only for the front, need something in the rear to minimize understeering no matter what:D Plus, I've the stock suspension so it should be easier for fine tuning since the suspension will be more responsive to upgrades like these.
