Wow... That is the best looking Civic Ive ever seen. Good job and keep it alive!!! The renault looks so funny.....

Wow, I am still subscribed to this thread! Yes, I still have the car. It is in storage awaiting major surgery. :D Recently procured a Gen 2 motor (have not had time to look for ID on the block so I do not know if it is a C30A or C32A). Next step is to determine whether the Gen 1 transaxle will bolt up. Throw in a stand alone fuel management system, some forced induction, a set of Kodiak wheels, a fresh paint job, mix thoroughly, bake at 375 degrees, and serve.

Sorry I have not been around lately. Been too busy at work. Time on the 'net and under the hoods of project cars has been cut to a bare minimum. Should start to make some headway on this one next year.

And, yes the R5 was Andy's inspiration for building the car.
I thought the g1 tranny wouldn't bolt up to the g2 engine? bad ass civic btw lots of work went into that!

this car seems to have quite a history that i have been completely unaware of...

i need to go through my magazine archives and look up the various articles...

i def want some more info... so please post some more pics, please... i noticed that the owner hasn't posted in awhile, i hope he has not disappeared, i have so many questions...

we are planning a '85 1500s awd conversion in the near future as a fun project. using as much honda content as possible. it will be initially d-series powered, w./awd civic drivetrain. mid-engined. then if all works as planned poss a b-series crv drivetrain into an eg bodied hatch or coupe to follow.
