I have a cable modem and bandwidth has never been an issue. My dialup days are over but I can only imagine how long it takes to load these pages with all the signature pics. I reduced the size of mine to 7977 bytes from 25K for all the dial-up users. I encourage others to do the same with Adobe Photoshop unless everyone here has a high speed connection.

Here's some numbers for the unaware:

legendz_4_life = 9530K
Future X 2001 = 14928K
Legendarith = 11458K
91 gold LS = 71253K
Mythical89 = 27463K
JoshSs = 23651K
Dmenn = 28000K
the Godfather = 28094K
Slack3R2 = 39014K
Legendarylegendz.com = 31265K
Banel = 90788K
Legend GS = 20900K
ohmygoditsdanny = 20023K
Legendary GS = 24853K
EK = 23514K

Banel wins @ 90788K

Seriously, this slows down the forum and is unnecessary. We should try to keep it below 10K. Just my .02 cents...

Wow. It seems everyone has DSL/Cable or better. The small percentage of dial-ups user may have to deal with the delays.

Interesting to see how many people have upgraded from dial-up.

I remember a while back someone had a sig of themselves standing next to a blue legend or something and it was several megs... that was ridiculous. I think it was over Christmas because I remember cursing at my moms house as I tried to read the forums. I've got my sig down to 16k, it was twice as big originally but I was on dialup for the longest time and remember the pain of downloading stupid pictures... I don't know if the text will be very readable if I shrink it any more...

Feel free to save it and use this as your sig. picture. Its jpg-low and only weighs about 7778kb.

Yep, mine is 14KB, the original file size was over 70KB, I used the toughest compression I could while still keeping the lines, and colors intact. I can just remove it if it is too much.

1.5mpbs DSL. It seems as more and more users on the web are using broadband now, which is great for people who make websites.
