So, now that we're just over a week away (can you tell I'm stoked?)... do we have:

i would like to join y'all, but im afraid i work that day. either 8-5 or 1-10 so i dont think i'll be able to make it. i cant get weekends off unfortunately. hopefully i can make one soon though.

All right guys, we are officially less than one week away from the meet. I have come up with some visuals...

I was thinking of having everyone meet at Foster City, which is on the east edge of San Mateo.

I've never been there and I was intrigued when I was told it was built off landfill and it's a well-off city. I am assuming we can find parking along Beach Park Blvd, overlooking the San Mateo Bridge, where we can take pictures and wait for everyone to arrive.

Then we head off on Highway 92, and cruise over the mountains towards Half Moon Bay, where we will stop to eat lunch at Flying Fish Grill, one of my favorite restaurants, and where they make THE BEST fish tacos you will ever have.

Then, off to the cruise down Highway 1, to Santa Cruz, where we will stop and relax. Even, we can stop by any of the beaches along the way to take pictures...

After Santa Cruz, we head to San Jose where we can stop to get some dinner and part.

Let me know if you guys have any suggestions and input. I hope it doesn't rain!!!

Tom (sinewave) has informed me that he will be getting his Coupe detailed, finishing up at 12:00 PM and was wandering if we could have a late lunch at 1:30 PM in Half Moon Bay. This is what I was hoping for, because I'm not a morning person, and I swore the next meet that it would be a later meet.

So, can we meet in Foster City at 12:00 PM and leave around 12:45 PM to give everyone ample time to get there?

Yeah, I think that's a good time as to give night owls like myself enough time to get ready and do a quick car wash. If you want to get there earlier, that's fine, too.

Okay, so I've been looking at places where we can meet initially. I think this is a good place, right alongside the San Mateo Bridge which will give us a nice backdrop for pictures...

Though, it looks gated.

We have two options: the one on the left of the bridge has the least nicest view...

Or, another idea I have is that we can parallel park on Beach Park Blvd...

Sounds cool? This is totally Google Maps ideas, I've never been here. I don't want to be the only one throwing out ideas here, though!

EDIT: If you guys want to meet elsewhere, like by Oracle in San Mateo like before, speak up!

It's been a couple years since I've been to that spot, but from what I remember, parking can be a bit of a challenge there (depending on the weather) -- since it's later in the year, I think we may be OK. My recommendation would be to meet up in the parking lot (provided it's accessable) then migrate to the beach front for pictures (if space is available once the majority of people are there). Since it sounds like there will only be five of us, we should be OK

I was thinking the long parking lot on the left side of the picture... doesn't look like the very north end of it gets many cars at all... close enough to the bridge for decent pics as well...
