Bayou vs. Dinan

Hello to all, I am new to this so if I do this wrong let me know...

I have a 1993 Acura Legend Sedan 5 speed mildly tuned with a 50 shot of NOS, Weapon-R Intake, Greddy Exhaust, GT Underdrive Pulley, Fuel Pressure Regulator... yada yada yada...

My question is that I have noticed that 2 companys currently make upgraded performance chips for the 2nd generation Legends and I am wondering which one is giving people the best gains? I have gathered from a couple of people that Dinan really specializes in Bimmers and the application that they have for our cars is really pre-fab and alot of R&D wasn't put into it. Bayou on the other hand I haven't heard anything about...

Also considering that I have Nitrous and that the chip advances ignition timing and all that, will it hurt?? It seems that it wouldn't matter to me anyways since the NOS doesn't engage until full throttle anyways??

Thanks alot for any help,

Vito

Welcome! :)

No real comparison between the two because they are one and the same chip. Dinan sold the chip design to Bayou a while back. So, buying a Bayou chip will get you a Dinan designed chip.

As far as using it with NOS goes, DV8 uses the chip along with NOS and hasn't had any problems.

Can anybody prove though that these chips actually help performance. I think that it would be sweet to see a dyno or even just some 1/4 mile times. It sounds to me like this thing has gotten some pretty mediocre reviews.
DV8 has dynoed his with the chip. I believe it gave him 7 WHP, and 7 lb/ft of torque.

...to the wheels I might add.

How much is this chip? Is it a DIY deal or do I have to send in my ECU or something like that?

No, it must be sent in for R & R
