I second that...

Cheers,
I have the same questions! Just got the car... The interior is a mess. Desperately need some help on how to clean it. Not only the vinyl but the leather, the carpet, the dash... Thanks!
I don't know exactly what parts you want to clean but yes Lexol is good for Leather. Vinylex (Made by Lexol) is good to use on the dash and door panels. If you have really dirty door panels-ex: small little spots or particles that you can't get off, I just discovered something two nights ago. Putt a little bit of Goof-Off on a rag and rub where you want to use it. After you use the Goof-Off make sure you use a new rag and put some Vinylex or other similar product on to re-moisturize the area.

Hope this helps.
Hey I read somewhere that....

the vinyl on the dash automatically protects itself by reflecting sunlight (somewhere on this forum)

Is this true ?

If so using any product on it would only increase the rate at which the vinyl goes bad

Comments ????
Lexol, Vinylex etc...

Thanks for the suggestions...

Are Lexol and Vinylex just conditioners or do they actually remove dirt off. Either way I will end up using the products but if they are not that good cleaning, I need something strong (BUT SAFE) to clean the interior first.

Also where can I buy Lexol and Vinylex???
Thanks again!

Nope. Use products with uv protection. 303 Aerospace is highly recommended but unless you been using something similar before, the damage may already been done.
Lexol is available at Pep Boys and I've even seen it sold in Acura dealerships, but where do I find 303 Aerospace?
OK So has the question of what to use to get the dirt out of the Vinyl on the Doors Been answered or am I just a Little slow???? Because I havent seen the answer to that particular question...
cool thnx G Rahn
Per Acura of America, the G2 dashes are designed to be "non-glare" and they recommend nothing but a mild solution of soap and water if extremely dirty or a damp cloth if just dusty. Their advise is to not use any type of vinyl dressing on the dash---however, they do recommend Vinylex for the rest of the interior vinyl.

Just my .02---
Cool GRahn

Thanks for that detailed info

Cleared some stuff up

See stevieray knows what im talking about

Ive never really used anything on my dash for the last 4 years except water & tissue paper to clean it like once in two weeks. Everythings A-Ok so far.

But from what Mike & GRahn say it sounds like that Lexol or Vinyles stuff cant harm things. I might give that a try....

Takey carey

Lexol will be your best bet. After cleaning it with lexol finish it off with some McGuires cleaner/conditioner. Good stuff. Smells a little funny but gets the job done. And it doesn't leave an awful smell as it appears when you first smell it.
Lexol is what the acura dealership near my town uses. They gave me a bottle to try out, and I'm gonna stick with it. I definitely can feel the difference.
checkout eastwood

Good prices and larger quantities

dude just get some degreaser and dilute it, put it in a spray bottle and then use a little toothbrush and go at it and clean it, it works great, gets allllllll the dirt out, and then you just put protectent over it and its all good, i do it all the time and my interior and its spotless, i ride with the windows down all the time, so i do it alot......peace out
