Well, best year?

If I were you, I would definately try go get a 6-speed TypeII Legend. You will find them "available" on the following years/trims:

1993-1995 Acura Legend Coupes, All Trims
1994-1995 Acura Legend Sedan, GS Only

And in all honestly, the 94-95 coupes, sedans look better, because of slightly different bumpers and rears for the Coupes.

Before you think about selling the Vette, think about this first. I can't believe I would be saying this cause I love Legends to death, but you have what a lot of collectors would believe to be, the finest American classic sports car. And I truly believe that it would be worth some money if you kept it in mint condition. I think (i might be wrong about this) you have according to my calculations about 13 years until it goes classic......BTW if you do part with it, how much would you want for it? If you can e-mail some pics.

94 or 95 coupe because it has the most modern look. Painted lower parts to match the body instead of black and the rounded trunk. Plus you are more likely to find a lower milage Legend in this bracket. I bought my 94 two years ago for around 15K with 85K miles. The price should have come down to around 10-12K for a Legend in great shape. You will miss the torgue of the vett, my bro has a 2001 and its sweet. I normally dont drive a standard but that car is impossible to stall. Good luck in your hunt. :D

Loved my 'vette, love my Legend!

I sold a 1999 'vette coupe to get my 91 Legend.
If 94-94 6 speed white coupes weren't so scarce and often grossly overpriced or pieces of junk (still overpriced) I would get the 94-95.
The solid color look, the bumper covers, the different wheels, the type 2 engine (put in a chip, add an intake) make the 94-95 6 speed coupe worth looking for months to find. This is doubly true if you intend to keep the car a long time or modify it. Take the time, search the world, do what you have to but GET THE CAR YOU REALLY WANT! I flew to Raleigh from Orlando to get mine (found it on the internet, worked the deal contingent on seeing the car...$150 for airplane ticket is peanuts compared to the cost of the car...and the cost of NOT getting what you really want.)
As to the 'vette, get a C5. The C4 was a super car but nothing compared to the 1997+ C5. My next car will be a 50th anniversary 2003 Z06 'vette, torch red, red/black interior. But will be keeping the LEGEND!

Vettes are sweet rides I am debating on what my next car will be after I finish the Legend....Tints, struts and hopefully headers and buy a house. I have always dreamed of owning a used NSX 93 or newer. They are pretty afordable at around ~35K and you get the exotic status. The vette on the other hand turns EVERBODY's heads. My sister was rolling my bro's vette while he was putting a lift on her truck. She was hounded left and right by guys. My bro and I were driving and a couple of cuties showed us their TITS and wanted us to follow them to a party....to bad my bro's married. :p The vettes are a monster to drive and quick and a whole lot more recognised than the NSX, except for us Honda entusists. Hmmm 8000 redline or enough torque to break tires at freeway speeds....:D

The NSX is one sweet car, and even if someone doesn't know exactly what it is, they will still give it a double take.

Anyways, I would have to agree, the best Legends ever made were the 94-95 LS Coupe 6-speeds. I wish that I waited and got myself a 6 speed. Problem is though, that if you do find a 6 speed, it is probably going to go for quite a bit of money.

97-99 vettes are getting way cheap too (sub $25K). Lotsa them coming off leases and stuff. The warrantee is 3/36K and once it is over you can mod the heck out of them, too. My vote is for the very user friendly coupe, manual Xmission, lexan/clear top, heads up display and the Bose simply kicks ass...no matter how loud you turn it...it can go louder.
Watch autotrader.com and wade through all the friggin dealers and look for private parties. Lotsa vettes out there that are/were "sunny Saturday" cars, too.

If you have two blown rear speakers Jose, then just disconnect them temporarily. I used to have my rear speakers disconnected until I fixed them. This goes for anytime that you blow a speaker. One speakers sounds better than three blown ones ;).

hehe, i figure i'll let them play out the rest of their lives while they still have some sort of life left, til I get the illified music system going.

i *HAVE* to have a good music system and for the past 4-5 months, I've been at the "hey, I can hang in there with the bose system" type of mentality , also because I didnt think I'd find a place w/ a garage. But I *DID* find a place w/ a garage, so, HELLO MODS!
:)

That's also why I didnt wanna get rims, or tint, or anything. Because of security issues. But, woadie, WATCH OUT NOW. :)
