Hey,
I heard someone talking about this stuff so i thought i would give you all the heads up. I was on a road trip for the past 2 weeks, and in viginia a friend of mine told me about BG44K. He said it was the best stuff for cleaning your entire fuel system, and the only thing that works. You can buy it from a Mercedes dealership, but its expensive as all hell. I paid $18.50 for a can. However it works really really well. Ive used fuel cleaners from Stp and just about everyone else before, but this one is totally different. My rough idle is gone, and my car seems to have more pick up. I got 400 miles on a tank of gas (all highway) driving from Lynchburg, VA, to Annapolis, MD, and back. Now that im home i got 265 miles on a tank of gas in the city, which is better than i got before i used the BG44K (220 miles per tank previously). While i was at Mercedes in VA i also picked up a can of BGMOD (i think its called) and its an oil additive. My car is soooooooooo quiet now when it idles ive grinded the starter 5 times while my car is running..... ill tell you what all of that stuff from BG rocks. I was speculative at first but my friend said "Hey, if Mercedes trusts it, so should you". So what the hell i tried it, and for me i got great results. Try the 44K stuff and let me know how you guys fare. It is expensive as crap but it was worth it for me....
peace

I poured 44K in when my gas light had been on for 20 miles or so, then i did a fill up. To use BG44K properly an oil change is not required at all. However, it is recommended that if you use the BGMOD (the oil additive) that it be put in when you change your oil. Since i had my oil changed 500 miles prior to adding the MOD to my engine it was fine, and i used both BG44K and BGMOD at the same time.

So what exactly is BGMOD supposed to do? I really just want to clean up my car since it has never really had the care that it deserves.

Im not sure who manufactures BG, to my knowledge the company name is just that. For the BG oil additive, it is called BGMOA. I was wrong on the name of that one. It says it "prevents oxidation and thickening of motor oil even under the most severe stop and go"..... it also says "keeps ring lands, hydraulic lifters and other engine components clean to extend engine life". I found their website, its www.bgprod.com. The BG44K is found under "Automotive fuel maintinence systems" and the BGMOA is found in "Automotive Oil conditioners". Hope this helps.
