What are the typical sign of a blown head gasket ?

erratic temp gauge, over flowing coolant resovoir, Coolant below neck of rad, OIL IN COOLANT, White ends on Spark plugs, OVER HEATING!!!!!, Erratic idle but most of these could be something else. Learn from my mistake DONT JUST THROW PARTS AT IT. praying they will fix it get it tested and save some money !!! lol

don't forget the smokey exhaust, poor performance and poor fuel economy

I would say that. that's what I usually get. Before I had the BHG I was getting 17-19 city

and arnt there tests that can be done for BHG? at dealerships?

yes thicker white smoke than normal. you could go to the dealer or go to an independant shop and have them test the coolant in the radiator

it's pretty heavy during idle. at least mine is and during driving, i'm not sure cause I'm the only one that drives my legend
