I am thinking of buying a 1988 2 Door Legend which has just had thetiming belt replaced, new water pump and has 11 months rego. Unfoirtunately it has blown a head gasket. The car is selling for $350.00 and it is in good condition. I was just wondering how much it would cost to replace the gasket and whether or not it is very hard. Would it take me a couple of weeks or is it easier? Thanks very much.

Is it only the head gasket? Did it overheat? Maybe the head is warped? It doesn't seem to be very common on the G!(blown head gasket). How about the transmission?

Everything is fine, the head gasket has just blown that is all.
