so im crossing the stop sign at the end of my block on my way home, and all of a sudden the car just stopped moving. Im pushing the pedal and the rpm's go up and the mph's go up, so now i fugure great, this can either be tranny, differential, or axle problem.
Now a couple of days ago i hita pothole and my when went funny so i took it to my mechanic and he said i broke the strut, so i was gonna replace it the next day, and then the car beakes. also when the car stopped movingand i kept revving, i would hear a metal to metal sound like a clicking like the teeth of the tranny and the teeth of the axle were tapping each other.

hey jetdoc nice catch, that sounds just right, thats the only explanation for the clicking and speedometer going up.
