ok, i posted this before, and it got moved and no one replied since.lol/

i have a 2 12" box in my trunk, its all the way at the back on the trunk, now for bolting it, i am scared if i go into the metal part under the carpet, ill get to the fuel tank. i am not quiet sure where it is. any ideas would be helpful

Can't help much with an answer, but I was just gonna say watch out for the spare tire, too! As I was taking the sub out of the 91 coupe when I sold it last Saturday, I hear this 'hisssss' as I remove the bottom bracket. Turns out my brother screwed it right into the sidewall of my spare. Nice!

How about the two braces that are behind the false "wall" (covered in stretch fabric" at the back of the trunk. Basically one holds the amp on the drivers side and the abs computer on the passenger side. You wouldn't be bolting it "down" but _against_ the braces. The gas tank is probably right under where your box is, so I would say it's a no no to go down. If you box is taller, you may even think of the rear deck, if it's behind the torsion rods of the trunk lid.

hmmm, using the braces is a good idea, ill have to take my seat out and see what i can work with. what should i use to bolt it against the brace though

If your box is carpeted, use some industrial hook n loop (velcrow)...
