Best time to date is 12.59 @ 102mph. This is my most recent run. This was after the level 10 kit and the NX N-tercooler was installed. That N-tercooler is an incredible product. I was also using different tires for this run. Instead of my street driven NT555's I was using the NT555R's. I'm not sure if it made a difference or not because the N-tercooler and the Level 10 kit made such a big difference a small difference in tires is alot harder to notice. I'll also note that the stereo components in the trunk including the playstation, subwoofers, box and amplifier were all removed before this run. The spare tire and jack was also removed. I borrowed a carbon fiber NX bottle from a friend as I only own a regular 15 lb bottle. The rear seats as well as the passenger seat was also removed. And now that I think about, during the turbo install we removed alot of unecessary weight. All of my heat sheilding for the exhaust is removed, some protective underpanel type skirts, fenderwells and so forth. Basically anything we found under the car that didn't necessarily need to be there.

Since your trap speed is higher than his, but his time is so much faster, it would confirm that his car has way more torque and getup off the line, but the Legend pulls a lot more in the top ... interresting.

Sorry about that, I've been busy with work. 60 ft time was 1.031
Im sorry but, that is physically impossable, a top fuel dragster has 60ft times between .700-1.100

Are you sure your looking at the right number?

102MPH and a 1.031 60' ft your car pratically came to a complete halt in the topend.

I dont get it, your saying it took you one second to cover your first 60 ft?:(

whoops! 1.731 was the 60ft. Yeah that didn'tmake too much sense did it. Sorry.
That definitly makes a lot more sence, although your car becomes a parapaligic snail in the topend. Hope you dont freeway race often.

Is the turbo getting in the way up top?

What belt timming belt do i use?

Legend 196 teeth
or the RL 197 teeth?

Anyone?

i was thinking the Legend's since the topend is Legend and therefore it may reduce the rick ove the valves interfering?

what if Those honda guys added an extra tooth because it helps cumbustion?

?

It may be that the RL has the crank centerline relocated slightly lower in the block. This would give the longer throw the required clearance. And it would require a longer timing belt.

If that's what happened, then you should use the RL belt.

I actually think I ran out of nitrous.
a turbo should get a higher trap speed than that dont you think?

i posted a 13.30@105 with a 2.183 60ft all NOS only- dry 85 shot on BFG comp T/A's
What shot were you running, the 150?

Id be shocked if i cant trap 108 or higher now that i have a bigger TB and a FULL Port an polished topend. My NON nos MPH was 96MPH which is pretty high for N/A. havent NOsed it yet though havent been running right, since the P&P.

I had the NOS running out on me problem, i sold the 10lbs bottle and got a 20lbs-havent used it yet.

When are you going to the track again? id' love to get a video of your run and put it in my site.

I have been out of the forums for soo long. Damn 40HR weeks are killing me, thank god its only a summer job. It will alll pay off though...that $4,000 can go many places.

I just spent the last HOUR reading this from top to bottom. WOW! I cant wait. BUT, I have even another thought. Rick Case Acura in Ft. Lauderdale built 3 cutom cars. 3.5TL They took a TL stroked it and used a RL crank. Thus meaning the RL's crank a C series motor can be put into a J series motor. There is soo much that I dont even want to type right now but in the end its a N/A 3.5TL that runs 14.2 STOCK. Just mixing up some parts and it costed a total of $8,000. Now. what I want to know is if we can keep the Legend Block and use the RL crank with the right rods. I am not up to figuring it out though but if someone wants to spit the ideas out to me Im up for it and on the same note, this means wether I keep the C32A block or use a C35 or what ever, the NSX heads can still be used CORRECT? I understand valve clearance issues and all but in theory.... I might possibly be able to get either the C35 block or stroked C32 with some NSX heads on it, opening up the potential for a HUGE TOP END gain. Ok Im going to sleep off to make more money.

hey, umm......its not stock if its modified, but thats ok.

i have looked into nsx swap, oil passages dont line up, but with machine work, who knows what could be done. it is too wide to fit in a legend engine bay tho.

peace

Rick Case Acura uses an MDX Block and Crank with the Type S heads and pistions. Sorry to burst your bubble. C and J motors have no interchangable block or drivetrain parts. Different breeds.

Sooooo..what I gather from the sixty foot discussion is that my ET should have been faster if I had a 2.023 60 foot?Hmmmm...How come I only ran a 14.979?My car weighs 3600lbs with me in it.
No weight reduction done at all..

Anyways, I am extremely interested in any kind of "frankenstein" motor I could build myself for the Ack. I can guarantee I can find the parts cheaper at the salvage if I just need a piece here, and a piece there..lol.
