SORRY FOR THIS LONG MESSAGE!!!


I have the same problem with my 91 Legent coupe. I installed Eibach springs, konies sruts and camber kit fronts only. But for some reason my driver side wheel makes a cluncking noise and some time I think I hear a rubbing sound cumming from underneath my foot. I've made numerous trip to different alignment shops, for the same problem to return a few weeks or days later. And my tires are wearing out in the inside. I thought of putting the original cambers back on the car, since the car is only lowered 1.2 inches.

it seems to me the driver side camber keeps getting loose and I'm not sure why? maybe it's because the driver side is lower than the passanger side by almost 1/2 inches. I've swopped the front spring around and the height difference remains.

I'm getting real fustrated with this because my baby is not runnig the way she should.

can anyone help me out here with any suggestions.

When my car had the RSR springs I was really cambered out (but that is Japanese style ) Any way, I never had any "clunking". I think you have a CV problem. (driveshaft) Have it check for that quite as it can be very expensive to repair.

With the ingalls camber kit you MUST FILE DOWN THE CONTROL ARM a bit or it will rub when you are going over bumps.
If it is an Ingalls kit for the front and it keeps coming loose, call the company you bought it from as I know some other people had the same problems with civics and ingalls replaced it.

More like grind down. You need a 5" electric grinder to smooth down the end of the control arm. This gives you more clearance. But actually I agree with jrock7791. If this clunking sound occurs when turning, you need a new C/V joint.

As for the ride height difference. If you measure a stock-height Legend you will notice the same thing. I have been told that the left side is lower to compensate for the slope of the road in order to provide a more level and relaxing ride. So basically any lowering spring will just make this height difference more visible because the wheel is closer to the fender. This is why I put Ground Control springs on my car. Since they are adjustable I was able to make each corner of the car sit at the same height.

NOTE: Measure from the top of the outside edge of the fender to the ground to get accurate numbers before and after lowering your vehicle.

I believe this is the clunking noise he is refering to. I had the same noise and found mine was loose as well. However, after I tightened them it is okay. I believe the first time I tightend it to the speced torque, but it seems that wasnt enough as it keept coming loose, so I simply overtightened it and it has been okay ever since.

You're probably right. Have whoever does the adjustment put some loctite on the threads. This will help keep them from loosening again.

I'll try tighten them up a little harder and see what happens.
