I was making a right turn today, and all of a sudden the steering got stiff, and when I looked at my dash, all my lights were on. I had to throw the car in neutral, and started the car again. I'm not sure how many times I tried, as I was watching all the other cars in the intersection, as they had to avoid hitting me. The car did start, and I drove away. Any advice as to what could have caused this? I do have a svc appointment coming up next week, so I'd like some advice before I take it in. BTW, it's a 99 3.5RL, and I posted here since there's no RL forum. Thanks forany advice.

How much gas did you have? If you were riding low on fuel, your car would cut off in a curve because all the gas will shift over to one side of the tank, away from and gas pump siphin. This is normal circumstances.

3/4 tank gas, and the car has 45K miles on it. Thanks.

You posted in the right place. RLs are considered 3rd generation Legends Japan. So you are indeed welcome. There also is a Acura-TL.com and acuraforums.com You can try there as well. But only as a last resort. More Legend vets hang around here.

EKY has been a long time member of the Legend Forums. He used to have a 95 LS Coupe with Erebuni Body kit and all the works before he got the RL.

Anyway, I'm not sure what happend to you. if it only happend that one time I would wait to see if it happens again. Maybe it was a fluke.
