and if not given a little gas immediately after start up, sometimes stalls (this does not happen all the time)

also another thing that may be related, is when the car is sitting in the heat for a while, it just decides not to start at all.

any ideas on what may be the problem? and possible solutions?

-thanks a lot

I thought that the idle was supposed to be 750? Perhaps I'm thinking of my CRX or my Accord

Idle is supposed to be under 1000. I think it's right around 650-750 on both my cars.

Sounds like you need a new PGMFI relay from that description.

I agree - time for a new main relay. As many times as the relay comes up, it has to be the most replaced part in the G1.

Clean your throttle body. Also, adjust your idle screw. I adjusted mine and while there was no noticeable difference on the tachometer, the stalling when I placed car in "P" was eliminated.
