I went to a junkyard yesterday and was wondering how to remove all of the components for the car phone? Where do I look to remove parts? Extra harnesses or built in with car?

if you want one, you can have mine for free. I will get someone to take it out. All I will need you to do is pay for the shipping. I hate that thing. I always hit my head on the mic.

Hit your head on the mic? Where is your mic located? Mine is intergrantd in the OEM locatoin behind the grill piece on the side of the front headliner lights.

Anyway, just off memory, the OEM cell phone componentes include teh speaker, a new steering wheel control (replaces the original steering wheel audio control buttons) the handset, the antenna, and the brain in the back of the trunk on the right side pocket. I can't be certain, but I think the rest is prewired.

Well then maybe mine isn't the OEM one. I thought it was because it uses the speaker in fron of the sunroof. I have a mic mounted right next to my door at the top. I always hit my head on that stupid thing.

It is real easy to tell if it is the OEM cell phone. It says ACURA on the handset. The handset is typically mounted in the center console storage bin.

I bought an OEM phone from ebay a while back and realized it was too bulky for me and many cell phone places in my town said the technology is too old and may not even be able to be used soon in the future. Mine was incomplete, so I sold it again on ebay and James S bought it from me(for around the same price I paid)...
