After I turn my car off there is a ticking from underneath that slows down and stops about 10 minutes after the car is off. It sounds like it is coming from the area of the Catalytic Converter, is it going, and how do I know when it should be replaced?

Maybe it is the AC system dripping condensation. It is in the same general area.

the dreaded ticks and sounds of an old car man...

you could find the source in 5 minutes or spend half of your life getting them all to go away.

my old t-bird has 4 different little noises that creep up every now and then and they used to drive me nuts.

That's a normal noise- my wifes 92 accord does the samething - I wouldn't worry about it.
