Guys,
I was told the cat converter would last for the life of the car. Is this true? Mine has a rattling noice which may be the metal piece above it could be bent. Thanks
Cats don't last the life of the car especially if other parts don't get replaced on time such as O2 sensors. There is a heat shield between the cat and the bottom of your car, the heat shields do get loose and start rattling, so check that first.
I wouldn't recommend taking them off, I highly doubt Acura would put them on for the fun of it, just jack up the car and check to see if any are loose. Suggest doing this when the car/exhaust is NOT hot.
