Im in the middle of making some changes to my system which includes the installation of two monitors. While am at it i'm thinking about relocating my aftermarket cd changer from under the front passenger seat back to the stock trunk location in the pocket. A like the accessability of the in cabin install but also like the cleaness of the trunk install. So give me your input on this.......WWYD?

I don't know what changer you are going to be using, but Alexander's idea is good. Or if you are like me and still want it inside the car, I would put it in the arm rest (but it will have to be a small one, like the alpine, panasonic or sony). I put the ai-net alpine in mine before, it needed some custom work, ie. removing the bottom lining, moving abs unit over and cutting into the top of the arm rest and then fibreglassing it back to have the "finished" look. All together it took me about a day and it looked sweet because it fit perfectly and had VERY easy access, I guess to easy that's why someone borrowed it from me with my tv.:( .

It is just an idea,
Good Luck

mine is under my seat fits perfect cant see wire or anything its run inder the carpet and out where the seat bolts down to ill get a pic if u want. It was in the trunk but had to move it
This is where mine is now. (Under the seat) I took out my ashtray in mounted the display unit there. (Looks very OEM-Fits like a glove) It is FM modulated with Stock storeo. But think I might leave it there and mount a small VCP in the pocket in the trunk with slight modifications. If a do move it i'll just swap locations. But I doubt that I can get a VCP under the seat. Anybody dune this.

Hmm, I don't know about that. The driver seat still has access to the back seat and is designed to allow passengers to get in and out of the beat through he driver side. Also, if anything the Passenger side would be a better choice because the passenger side doesn't have a tilt option so it would not crush the changer at the sametime, although I'm sure the CD changer is strong enough to hold up, but still it looks as if it doesn't have the correct height allowance for an alpine CD changer --=Keith

the base of the driver seat does not slide back and forth to let passengers in. The passenger seat slides up and folds up when u lift the handle and would scratch the changer alot. And i know evertime a passenger gets in my car they move the seat forward or backwards. I dono but i have had the changer under the driver seat for a while and it works perfect

Oh okay the handle explains why your configuration is different, you have a L right? Well the LS maybe different, getting curious about this. Again I rememeber trying to fit my Alpine changer under the passenger seat and it didn't fit and the driver's seat was worse because of the tilt option. --=Keith

facing the rear behind the ECU under the front passenger seat because:

-very easy one-handed-while-driving access
-it's a ***** to steal quickly (since you have to unbolt the passenger seat from the floor to remove it; as opposed to ripping it out from the trunk location)
