I had only one choice when I got my RL in October since my entire company is with Verizon and that was the Motorola V710. Verizon has since come out with a bluetooth enabled PDA phone but it's a big clunky thing that doesn't interest me. I had problems at first getting my phone to work properly with HFL. It paired without a problem but the phone would not ring consistently through HFL and I was missing half of my calls. I found something online from another RL owner with the same phone that said you must have the phone in ring mode with the default ring only. No vibrate, no fancy ringtones. I made the change and it's been smooth sailing ever since. I must admit I prefer to use vibrate mode when I'm out of the car and I sometimes forget to make the switch so I've had my phone ring loudly more than once in meetings over the past few months. Another problem is that the battery and signal strength indicators that are supposed to show up on the dashboard do not with my phone like with other carriers, but it's not a huge deal to me. I've been told by friends and family that the sound quality is ok, but not great. I think the worst part is that Verizon is not a supported carrier for AcuraLink, which means I'm not able to upload diagnostic info to Acura like Cingular, T-Mobile and Sprint customers are. I'm told that might change after a bluetooth software update for the phone. I'm still waiting. Oh and for the record I think Verizon has the best service and coverage map of any carrier and I've tried most of them.
I think the company you work for is Verizon! Your a good salesman but no sell! As the wallpaper on my Nextel i275 says "Verizon can f**k off!" They screwed my credit up badly and messed my service up 12 times! So I switched to Nextel and haven't had a single problem! Oh and my Bluetooth enabled phone works 100% in my mother's RL! Signal meter, battery meter and Diagnostics upload works! Sound quality is also superb!
