Well I got the JL 10w3's and they sound great but...I had the good fortune to see an MTX sponsored vehicle with the 8000's and ...and...DAMMMMMMMMMMMMMMN. Those things are the sheet. I already have them on the way (4 T8108's). My sponsor was alittle pissed but he understands that the MTX do actually perform better than the JL's. So we got ahold of two T8128's from a competitor's store and tested them in accourdance with thier recommended sealed enclosure specs versus the JL 12w3's and well as you can imagine...we now will keep MTX 8000's in stock.

Jae, I used to have Kicker Comp VR's about two years ago and I asure you these can't be compared totally different class of sub. Anyway go to Sounddomain.com they list the specs there along with some pretty respectable prices.

Unless you got the L7's then I say keep those.

HERE IS THE INFO ON THE MTX T8124

MTX took what was already considered one of the top subwoofers on the competition circuit and made it even better! The new Thunder8000 series features Spider Plateau Venting for cooler voice coil operation and greater reliability during heavy bass passages. Instead of "pushing and pulling" super-heated air over the voice coil like conventional, rear vented subwoofers, Thunder8000s shed the heat out the sides of the new dual layer spider. Asymmetrical Linear Drive (ALD) technology, used on all MTX Audio Thunder subs, provides high output with low distortion, thanks to flat progressive spiders and extended pole pieces. These subs are packed with features to help dissipate heat and deliver thunderous bass output. Thunder8000 subs have rugged die cast frames, enormous 102 oz. magnet structures, and 2 1/2" high temp, 4-layer voice coils. Also new for this year are aluminum deposited cones, terminals incorporating a strain relief, and new coaxial tinsel leads for improved reliability.

HERE IS THE STUFF FOR YOUR KICKER L7's

GO FOR SEALED ENCLOSURE>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

The original round Solo-Baric® was the world's first small-box sub, and it started a trend in speaker design that others are still trying to imitate. The bar is raised even higher with the new KICKER Solo-Baric L7, the world's first square subwoofer. Its radical design reshaped the way the world looks at subwoofers. And once you experience the Solo-Baric's titanic bass for yourself, you'll never look at subwoofers in the same way either. You don't have to be a rocket scientist to see that the Solo-Baric L7 is different from anything else in the car stereo universe. But why square? It's really pretty simple - the area of a square is greater than the area of a circle with the same width. By making the Solo-Baric square, KICKER gives you the most possible cone area (or Sd) for a given size baffle - 16% to 20% more cone area. And more cone area means the Solo-Baric L7 moves more air. The ultra-length voice coils and hyper-extended pole pieces mean 24% to 49% more excursion (Xmax) than previous models. That means the new S10L7's output capability is a staggering 78% greater than the previous S10d model. It's like buying one size subwoofer and getting the output of the next bigger size.
KICKER's revolutionary L7 subwoofer has been totally improved this year and features performance improvements for increased output. Upgrades include increased Xmax, improved multi-layer voice coil and Kapton former, larger and more compliant surround, a cutting-edge titanium deposit on the beefed up cone, redesigned cast aluminum basket, and coated tinsel leads.

The Solo-Baric L7 has greater power handling and more resistance to abuse than any subwoofer KICKER's ever made. All models have dual voice coils for ultimate wiring flexibility - 2-Ohm DVC models let you run at 1 or 4 Ohms, 4-Ohm DVC models allow 2-Ohm or 8-Ohm operation.

Unique Square Cone Design
Cast Aluminum Basket
Double-Stitched Santoprene Rubber Surround

Inverted Structural Dome (ISD) Dust Cap
Multi-Layer Voice Coil with Kapton Former
