My 91 coupe seems to have a slipping clutch, but I am not sure if it is worn out or on of the throw-out bearings is worn. During normal day to day driving, my clutch graps nicely, the more I use it however, the weaker the grab seems to get. But, the next day or after I let my car alone for a while, when I come back to drive the clutch engages with a solid grab. Untill recently when I let my friend drive it (the last time I do that) my clutch slips.
things I have observed
clutch rattles after use when idling and in neutral
clutch engages at the top of pedal release(high up on pedal)

A acura specialist told me that it will cost 1100$ to put in a fatory acura clutch. I don't want to spend that much, does anyone have any recommedations or advice on what my is wrong with my clutch? Or any cheaper clutch alternatives? It is most appreciated.

hey,
I was told SACHS makes a good clutch for our cars.
The kit costs $389 from nopi.com

Then after that, you gotta get someone to install it.
So that'll be a few bucks. :)

I recommend the HC Racing clutch from www.herson.com. I've had this installed now for a little over a month and it will take some serious abuse. The stage I is good for 328 lbs. of torque, much more than you will ever need in a Legend and it's $485 for the complete kit.

Sounds to me like the pressure plate is hooped....won't hold the clutch engaged properly.... You'll have to get a new clutch anyways, but make sure to get a new pressure plate as well or you will be doing it again !!!!
