It feels like my clutch is going out on me, but I am not sure. Right before I accelerate from a stop my car starts to vibrate as I am letting the clutch go. It vibrates for a second or two. I can avoid the vibrating buy giving it more gas than usual. What do you guys think?

well don't ride it out too long, otherwise you might ruin your flywheel also and thats about $1100 more. Is that $700 including labor? Cause I paid around 1200 with parts and labor, but its worth it cause she's now as smooth as hell. I just wished that I had order the parts online, its much cheaper.

I wouldn't worry about it until your clutch actually starts to slip.
ie. drive in 5th gear at about 2000rpm and punch it, if your clutch is bad, the revs will go up but you won't accelerate. Or put the car in park and shift into reverse, then give it some gas and let out the clutch, if it stalls, your clutch has some life left in it.

I have found myself stalling my 6 speed lately..... not sure if is is because I am up at 5:30 or my clutch is on the way out..

Apparently my clutch release bearing is gone (squeling)

PSA..... When is a good time to replace the clutch?

Mine is not slipping yet, but it is really rough shifting sometimes, and really jerky...

To avoid flywheel damage, you should replace the clutch when it starts to slip. My clutch went out at 120,000 (5pd). If taken care of, you can have a clutch for the life of the car. Maybe just replace the release bearing.

$700 was just a guess, its probably worse than that huh?. Looks like I do have life in my clutch, so I am just going to stick with it until it's a little more noticeable by affecting my cars performance. Thanks for the input.

Cost me $900 for the entire clutch assembly w/ labor. We did it ourselves, but the first clutch we got was faulty, and we didnt have enough time to put in another one. I would probably order a nice clutch yourself, and find a shop to put it in for you. I hate my clutch, and I paid a lot for it... its a beck arnley or something like that.
