Would this code cause the car to have intermittent episodes of stalling? Sometimes it stalls when sitting still or in park and at other times it runs perfect. It is going in for 90 k service and timing belt change next week and for this sensor. Just wanting to know if anything else might need to be checked then.
Thanks

code 9 help

Hard to believe, but my check engine light just lit up on my 90LS, and I have the code 9 also. What is code 9, an O2 sensor?? Which one?? I wonder if this has anything to do with having my timing belt, distributor and plugs changed last week.

Code 9 refers t the crank/cyl sensor located behind the cam sprocket on the front cylinder head.

Because of the location of this sensor, I suspect the appearance of the code has somthing to do with the timing belt work that was done.

number nine

paulo57509 beat me to it...

Try pullin the connectors and cleaning them. Check to see that they are all clipped (fully connected) and do not have broken clips that some ham hand with a crowbar took apart.
