Does anyone know of any company and or person, thats makes either cold air intake or short ram intake for an automatic 1988 acura legend

That's exactly it. Nothing in auto AEM is likely ever going to fit *exactly* right. Period.

you can get one on ebay for lie 15 bucks they are good i have one the filter is not bad but a K&N will fit fine

Dont feel bad you guys with autos....because they ONLY make Aftermarket Gague faces for autos so those of us with 5 speeds gotta deal with the gear selectors....lol

I think there are probably a lot more auto's out there than sticks, maybe a ratio of 2 to 1 or so..probably more if you include the market overseas. I think I'm gonna just buy the oem fitting k&n filter and run cold air into the stock airbox.
I'm also temted to make an air scoop with my spare hood (and seal it into the stock airbox from above). I think a single scoop on the one side might look funny though

Nah, don't do it on the side. Make either a shaker scoop (personally, this would be awesome on a Legend), middle of the hood low-profile scoop, or a low-height cowl induction hood/scoop (this would also look excellent on a Legend). Those would look good, but only if they were functional.
