Hello everyone, I recently got my legend running again after sitting for about 4 years, while driving I noticed a smoke/fog coming out of my vents that fogs up my windows and leaves a greasy residue so I'm assuming it must be coolant. I don't see any wet ness on the floors from the core leaking and my coolant level isn't going down so I'm assuming it must be a small leak, I pulled the dash and the blower but I am stuck on what to do next to get the core out. Do I remove the whole housing or does it come apart? Do I have to remove the metal crossmember that goes all the way across the dash? Also any suggestions on how to find where the leak is once I get it out would help, like is it probably the heater core that's bad or could it be a hose or something allowing the vapor to get into the vents? Any and all help will be extremely appreciated since I really want to get the car on the road and back to its former glory.
