well as i posted earlier about my GS overheating, well it still does, and JetDoc i did everything you told me to do, but it was still over heating.

the fans will not kick in, we had it running with fresh coolant for about 10 minutes, the fan still didn't kick in, you could tell it was trying to b.c the motor would idle at different rpms constantly to try to turn the fans on.

we just turned it off before it got all the way to H

someone help! i want to take it to our mechanic, but i dk how to get it there

my dad thinks it the thermostat b.c that is what would regulate the fans.

how can i replace the thermostat, where is it, and what are we looking at money wise.

thanks guys

Lower part of the radiator exists a thermosensor which operates fans with the relay.
If the thermosensor is faulty you can operate fans if you connect the wires of the connector, sensor is like a switch that connects when it is hot enough.
If this dont help, the fault is in the relay or somewhere else in the wiring or electric connections. My opinion is that it is very rare that fan itself is broken.
Hope that you all understand my poor english :)

There are 2 relays under the ECU kickplate that operate the radiator fans. Make sure both of these are working.

After idling for 10 minutes was the lower radiator hose a lot cooler than the top?
The idle hunting up and down is an indication that there is still air in the system. It is not "trying to turn the fans on". There is another coolant sensor where the thermostat is located which purpose is to adjust the idle mixture according to coolant temp. So it is working correctly. The sensor in the bottom of the radiator controls the cooling fans. The thermostat is easy to change but only use an Acura themostat $35 at dealer. The atermarket ones will only cause you more trouble. Don't try to save money here.

well we called a towing company ($75) and had the legend towed to the repair shop where we take all of our cars. they are very nice, trustworthy people. me and my dad were just sitting there watching eveything he did this afternoon.

so we go up there and obviously the 2 fan aren't coming on at all, so he tests a bunch of crap.

turns out the relay for the condensor fan was shot, so we switched it with another one and it worked perfectly. and the sensor at the bottom for the radiator fan was shot as well, he rigged it somehow so it would work. so he said he'll order the parts from honda and put it in on tuesday

it was such a relief

and oh yeah we added more coolant, it was low

now i got the code for my bose HU and everything on the radio works fine, you can switch channels, it recognizes that theres a cd and it will change tracks and everything, BUT no sound what so ever, im guessing its the wiring or speakers
