from what i've read/heard and my own experience, our bulb harnesses (this may just be for our headlights i'm not sure) are not designed to handle higher wattage. therefore i'm assuming that if you put a 12 watt bulb in a harness designed only to handle 5, your bulb will burn out and you may risk damaging your harness. hope this helps.

the oem corner bulb (194) is 5 watts......is it ok to put a 12 watts bulb inplace of the 5 watts bulb ??
