after reading another post, i have a few questions. my speedo has been acting up and not working, and i've been thinking that i need to replace the VSS. however, could it be just the fact that the cable is unplugged or loose, or something else is loose? cuz if that's the case i'm gonna be pissed. where would i look for such a thing? would an unplugged cable also result in the D4 flashing, speedo acting up/not working, and the check engine light coming on sometimes? if this is all just because of a loose cable, jeez.

There is no speedometer cable in a G2. The flashing D4 could be indicating a failed Vehicle Speed Sensor. You need to retrieve the code(s) to determine exactly what is wrong. I have never heard of a VSS code being the result of a loose harness connector, only a failed VSS. If you plan on performing any DIY repairs, you MUST buy a HELM.
