sounds like a cool idea. unfortunately, *most of the time* the thiefs just hard wire the fuel pump right at the pump because its easy to access quickly and bypasses any "hidden switches" or "cutoffs" in the car. You might slow them down though!

 

what do you have, an auto or a manual?

 

cigarette lighter? you'd have to press in the cigarette lighter to start the car.
EDIT: well nvm. i dunno if its just my car but my cigarette lighter doesnt stay in unless you hold it there.

 

Simple, really. For all the non-TCS guys, buy a TCS equipped fog light switch and use the TCS button to kill the fuel pump. For all the TCS guys w/out fog lights, use the fog light button. Done and done.

There is a way to set that up through a carPC, but it becomes too much of a hindrance in an emergency situation. Unless of course you use a fingerprint scanner as the primary method of authentication And since said scanners are only ~$20-$30 nowadays.....

Yeah, I'm sure you can put in a primary that will override the computer. All in the way they are wired together...

The primary would bypass the computer to activate the pump.

 

OOO the ideas...

 

I use a bank of relays attached to the A/C clutch output wire on the Auto Climate Control. The relays cut a few things....ECU Power, Starter Signal, Main Relay power and Fuel Pump

 

Just cut the +12V supply to the injectors. This is hard to find and not as easy to fake with a jumper wire as the fuel pump.
