Not that I ever saw. But who knows. It took him forever to remove me as a mod after I requested it. But at least we got BOL/DK to moderate the performance forum. Maybe he'll publish the plans for his patented Legend AWD system.

can I at least get some feedback here?
I really would like to know what was the deciding factor on removing me as moderator.

And it can't be because I don't have a Legend....the sedan is still there....and, I can name several mods that don't have Legends anymore...so, what is up?

no, but the surprise of being cut out of the loop I just figured he would pm me or call me to tell me whats up.
I thought I was doing well....that is why I suggested he make a mod forum

http://www.acura-legend.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?s=&threadid=21214

My idea....
Mod forums, aka "Mods corner" are common. I had noticed them before(I think it was on a Honda S2000 website/forums that i can't find now) and gave it some thought but never saw the necessity for it.

But with some of the immature legend forum members, discussion of banning them in regular posts became cumbersome.

I agree, we have several mods that have decided to sell their Legends, including you. I think its the fact that you aren't around very much, and it appears you are dedicated to another community via your sig/participation with this forum.

Matt, I must say that Leon has been around. Possibly not as much as he used to be, but looking at his recent posts I see that he has posted several times a day virtually everyday.
even though i am not a mod i want to say something,

Leon has been around and posting useful information. He is also trying to get the legend members to show up at NOPI.

im not liking the fact that the OEM are leaving. Leon if you decide you will fully devote to the Lexus, it might influence me to leave as well as it shows that its not worth the trouble any more. I know Dave is counting down the days until that "So Fresh and So Clean" Cobra comes his way, George is selling his Legend, Jon is wanting that bimmer so badly it hurts, Chris sold his Legend long ago im not sure if he'd ever will be able to get deep in it like before. I have been told I'm important, but i know im as essential to have here, as a booger hangin out of your nose:p. oh my Legend enthusiasm hasn't died but i just dont think i need to be around here if im going to be the only one actually wanting to drive my legend, where as the New heads only have them because their mommy or relative handed it to them, and they just want to get rid of it because it has all of ninety six thousand miles worth of “old”ness

This was written last night but i would like to add more to it.

Leon of course has been out somewhere more often BUT, he does frequent here, if he doesn't post much. This is very disheatening.

thanks guys, I really do appreciate it.
Matt, I do not post much any more for two reasons:

1) I work at Cingular HQ, and have a very healthy menu of work items so that I am always in conference, always in demand, always chasing fires, so I wouldn't want to be talking to our CEO on a call and accidentally say something like, "use the search function, sir :)" (You know how it is when you are on the phone and you type pieces of your conversation by accident at work....yea, that)

2) Alot of posts are repetitive, or more for bragging. I chime in where necessary, and direct people that are lost. I don't post useless banter just to raise my post count. WHen I do get all of my secret mods finished on my SC, I will post them accordingly, perhaps in OT as Jeff and Darren do, and then, if I am still welcome here, will post mods done to the sedan...the Seattle Silver one.

Just because I sold my Jas didn't mean I gave up on Legends...I just had to do the right thing for me. I never gave up on this family, if you look on the LLCC site, I still rep for the Legend fam wholeheartedly. People go there for advice and to see what is going on here....that is a portal to AL.com.

As to my sig showing a Lexus, that is an invite to anyone, ANYONE in the SouthEast interested in going to the Dragon on 8/22. That is the ONLY reason I posted it..I was hoping to get some folks from the LEgend community out to enjoy some enthusiastic driving with other enhusiasts...there will be Vettes, Porsches, an NSX, GS's and SC's, as well as a myriad of other cars. www.lexusdragon.com

My sig is clickable. I do not make anything for advertising. Just a heads up for FELLOW ENTHUSIASTS.

I do bid you all well, and thanks for your support.

I still frequent the forums quite often. Until I do get the bimmer i still keep an eye on things. However it is doubtul as I am considering buying a condo instead.

The only thing the pisses me off is the lack of maturity within the forum. Too much bickering and too much bs that I don't even bother reading stuff anymore....

Otherwise I am willing to mod another forum is Matt needs someone..

You hit the nail on the head. Why bother coming here if you don't enjoy it and aren't getting anything out of it?
Exactlly, thing is, we've had our Legends so long that we basically know everything we can do and can't do to it. Theres nothing new anymore. Same 'ol sh#t different day kinda attitude w/me. Rarely is there something that catches my eye.

Also, everyone is so new here that technical questions that I ask are rarely answered, and if so, the answers seem very suspect. Everyone is just referring to old posts and you can really be sure of their validity. Usually if I have a question I just call PSA up and he'll help me out.

I'm sure everyone is well aware of my feelings toward what the community has "evolved" into. At this point though, I guess I hang around out of loyalty to the spirit of the community. There are still some good folk around, though it seems to be thinning out a bit at a time for various reasons.

The last few months on the forums has troubled me. The younger group seems to act like they know what they're talking about, only to prove that they know nothing. Don't get me wrong, there's a few noobs that know their stuff, but for the most part, they just don't get it.

They obviously don't know about the respect our Legend community has. They're ruining the reputation of a fine group of enthusiasts like most of us.

IMHO, if Leon whats his mod privalege back you should give it to him. Sure, he may not have a Legend anymore or be around as often as before, but he is still more dedicated to the whole Legend experience than most people here. If we all learn anything from the whole MikeD situation is that we have a guy that is going through all sorts of personal trouble, yet sill finds the time to help members on the forums out. His dedication is unmatched. That is the kind of people we need here. Leon is one of them. He is still offering help to those who ask. Things are getting a little too political here. I mean really Matt, you are a nice guy, a good guy, and we all appreciate what you are doing here, but don't turn your back on the core Legend Enthusiast. Sometimes you have to sit back and remember how this forum was able to prosper to where it is today. Without certain members this forum would just be another Honda/Acura chat room like all the others.

I think Leon was a fine mod... he has helped me with questions I have asked with all his FAQ and helpful hints! He is a really nice guy to work with and he puts up wtih a lot of crap (specially when he was gonna blackout my headlights). I think just because he puts a lexus in his sig doesnt mean he has faded away from the community its just he is advertising about a event some of us might want to go to! Plus its kind of saying if I put a pic of a Supra in my sig and its advertising for nopi that im disrespecting the forum. If his sig is what took is mod powers away look at some others sigs (including mine) we have cats, kids, girls, and other cars. Its kind of sad judging how someone feels toward the legend and its community just by his sig...

Just my .2

I've been reading this forum for quite some time now. Some major events has passed through here. Some showing there new rides, some celebrating there new baby, some finally growing up and getting married, and we even share the lost of other family members, but what troubles me the most is the feeling of our legend family slowly growing apart, not from outsiders but among our own legend members. I believe that people do grow into other interests and hobbies. We should not banned them or tell them to go away. We should encourage them to expand there mind and learn new things. Anyway to make this short i think that Leon was a find Mod. If he would like to keep his position as a Mod then you (Matt) you let him. Leon is someone that i look up too and i'm sure other does as well. Make a good example as the owner of this forum to communicate with all your moderators. I know Leon doesn't post as much as he used to be and neither do you. But Leon is right he only post if some subjects or someone needed him to point them to the right direction. Leon i'm with you and Matt i'm also with you to make a wise decision, for this is your forum. I trust you to do the right thing. That's my 2cent worth.

everyone, thank you for your support. It brings a tear to the eye.
I am very humbled....I was just wondering if I have been a non-performer. It feels good to feel appreciated. I have just noticed that there are different processes in different places. I was elected as a mod in the CL forum, so that's cool too. I just like being able to help, that's all. no ego tripping, just I hate to see things in a disarray. I am that guy that always straightens out that crooked painting in your house.

Whichever way the decision goes, I will try to help best I can.
Thank you to all that spoke up for me, and thank you to all of you specifically for being a part of my extended family.
If you ever need anything, my home email is founders@legendarylegendz.com

sorry to hear ur not goning to be a mod anymore leon. You have been here helping those less mechanically inclined (read: me) since the day I arrived on these forums. Matt is doing us all an injustice by stripping us of one of the most knowledgable and willing moderators this forum has ever seen. Forum members should help decide the moderators, that way everyone would agree on who moderates over their posting...just a thought, what does anyone else think?

Leon, I wasn't trying to shoot down your character at all.

I think you know the certain past and disagreements we've had, which I want to get over and be friends about. I just feel this is for the better and that we have some aggression towards each other.

So for the time being, let me think about it.

Thank you.
