uhhh what about a 95 240sx coupe??

about the engines i've been told that the blocks are the same, but the 2.7 is bored out more and the vacuum, intake is different not to mention timing is controlled by the ecu...

 

ehh, how much you askin for the 95? Just curious. Im not going to spend over 1200 for a 88-93 coupe running or not. I could just get a true silvia in japan for $1200 lol...but shipping is a . but back to my orginal question...so will the tranny swap out? i need to know before i go and do all this work...tranny swaps for our legends are not fun lol. thanks for any help yall can give!

 

I'm not quite sure what you are doing. Are you swapping an auto from the '86 to put in the '88? The 5-speeds are basically interchangeable between all '86 to '90 Legends. The autos are different though electronically, because the newer ones, '87 coupe and up I believe, have a transmission computer to control the transmission. Do a search and you'll find some more info.

ok i got a question. I am looking into swapping trannys from an 86 legend to a 88 legend. my question is, the engines look different from when i look at them up top, but is there really any difference? I need to know if the tranny bellhousing are difference in the years. if not, then i can go ahead with the tranny swap. also, anyone gone from a 5sp to an auto? im looking into doing it because im just tired of shifting gears and i need a auto so my wife can drive it also. i dont have time to teach her how to drive a 5sp lol. any help is great. Thanks guys....

If you have an 88 5spd coupe then save yourself some trouble for the swap... I will trade you my 87 automatic for your 88 5spd. I was thinking about doing a swap too.. except from auto to 5spd. Find out the shipping cost and I will pay for it. Im in Oregon though. Let me know.
