i did fluid replacement on my differential (used mobil1 synthetic) and changed the z1 with the new fluid... and it feels like a new car... I'll do the same just for the sake of it.
Differential Problems?
My 2002 RL has been making a high-pitched whining noise when in drive and under load. When coasting the noise goes away. I've also been noticing I have to use a lot more throttle to maintain a constant speed. Do you think my differential is going out? If it is, any idea on how long/how much to get it replaced?

The differential are pretty much bullet proof. I would drain and refill first. A hell of a lot cheaper than a replacement.
